Richie Kuah

Richie’s tour guiding “career” started some years ago when he volunteered with the Marine Park while still working in the corporate world. In 2018, after working in the financial sector for more than 20 years, he decided to pursue this interest and became a fully licensed Singapore tourist guide.

He is very passionate about nature and became a specialist guide in 2019 with a particular interest in the marine environment and our offshore islands. Although not a scientist by nature, he puts a lot of effort into research on marine creatures etc and consults with professionals as needed.

He is part of several teams assisting marine conservation in intertidal surveys on a monthly basis to help monitor the marine environment on Singapore’s shores. These surveys are documented on his well-followed blog ricardo08kuah.blogspot.com

Richie’s other area of strong interest is our country’s heritage & history, particularly where they relate to his much loved offshore islands. He is a born and bred local boy, and would take great delight in introducing you to Singapore’s “off the beaten track” hidden treasures!
