Pre-Xmas Art Appreciation, Shopping & Wine Evening in a Cool Black & White - 5 Dec
Price: S$70 / ticket
Step back in time to the days when Marine Parade Road was still the seashore and East Coast Road was in effect, a sandy beach.
Nestled in between these two roads you will discover delightfully cosy black and white cottages built in the 1920's as homes for employees of a rubber company owned by Lee Kong Chian, a businessman, philanthropist and educator.
And today at cottage # 34 you'll find the "Talking Textiles Studio," whose owner and creator Deborah McKellar invites you to enjoy an elegant evening of art in an enchanting holiday setting.
With a glass of wine in hand, take a stroll through her studio where you'll find a large collection of artworks as well as appealing collectables such as cushion covers, cheeseboards and much more.
Mingle, meander, sip and perhaps pick up a few holidays gifts, and then relax in the garden of this heritage home. Jane will also share some fascinating historical background about the neighbourhood during this very special evening.
