Come and learn about Singapore's southern coastal defences including Labrador Park, and those on Blakang Mati (Sentosa's former name). Impressively many of the former forts, some of which are more than a century old, remain intact with ramparts, bunkers, batteries, pillboxes, ammo chambers and more. Some ruins are out in the open, others are hidden in the thickets of the Sentosa jungle.
We'll explore the role these played in safeguarding British interests prior to WW2 and the part they played in the ill fated defence of Singapore in 1942.
We'll meet on the mainland to explore Labrador Park and then travel over the causeway to Sentosa to visit Mount Imbiah before heading to the main attraction, Fort Siloso.
The tour will end with an optional lunch on the beach in Sentosa.
